The train service connecting Lhasa, Tibet, to Chaina's rail system operates at such a high altitude that oxygen is provided to passengers and those over age 60 need medical clearance to board the train!

Earth's atmosphere is one of the biggest sources of our planet's warmth. Without the heat it produces, temperatures would be about 50 degrees (F) cooler!

A 1,364-foot-long Sleeping Buddha Statue has been carved into the side of a mountain in Yiyang, Jiangxi, China!

< TASK > Answer the questions.

(1) Why do the passengers over age 60 need medical clearance to board that train?

(2) Without the heat earth's atmosphere produces, how much cooler would temperatures be?

(3) How big is the Sleeping Buddha Statue?
